Every day you hold OTIS counts toward a seat on his board.

When the auction opens, 50 of the 550 Band Caps go to OTIS holders, five names drawn every three days. Win one and you become one of his delegates: a seat on the board whose only job is to make Otis rich, a vote on what he does next, and a seat other holders can back with theirs.

You have to buy to be ranked. Buy OTIS, keep it in the wallet that bought it, and your score climbs every day you hold.

Find your position

Paste any wallet to see where it stands. The board is updated every 10 minutes.

  1. Buy OTIS

You have to buy to be ranked. Only OTIS bought at the market counts; coin sent to you by transfer never does.

  2. Hold it

Every OTIS you bought earns one point for every day you hold it, in the wallet that bought it.

  3. Get named

Every three days a draw names five holders, each with a chance in proportion to their score. They take turns, in order, to claim that draw’s cap.

  4. Take your seat

The cap makes you one of his delegates, with a seat on his board. A rarer cap carries more weight in a vote, up to twenty times a Common for the one of one.

How your score works

One point for every OTIS you bought, for every day you hold it.

Buy 1,000,000 OTIS and hold it for 10 days: 10,000,000 points. Buy 2,000,000 and hold it for 5 days: the same 10,000,000.

  • You have to buy to be ranked. Only OTIS bought at the market earns points. Coin you receive by transfer earns nothing, even if the wallet that sent it bought it.
  • Keep it in the wallet that bought it. Coin moved to another wallet, even one of your own, stops earning, and the wallet it lands in earns nothing on it.
  • Selling slows your score. Sell half and you earn half as fast from then on. Points already earned stay.
  • Only the last 90 days count. Points older than that drop off, so a wallet that keeps holding keeps its score up.
  • Your share is your score against everyone’s. Each draw names five wallets, so your chance of being named is higher than your share.
  • A win sits you out for a while. A wallet that wins sits out the next 5 draws, then its score counts at a quarter for each cap it has won.
  • Otis’s own wallets never count: his purse and the Major Oak are left out of both draws.
